Note: All firesides are held on the first Sunday of each month

November kicks off the holiday season. Many families spend time together therefore, we thought it would great to focus on getting started or updating your family history. Our speaker will help us get started and show many ways to help move the work along. You do not want to miss this meeting! Bring a pen and paper because you will want to take notes.

Brother Van Celaya is a Church service missionary who teaches family history consulting at Brigham Young University Family History Library. Prior to this he taught for two years as a Church service missionary at the Riverton Family Search Library and as a Church service missionary for zoning. He also concurrently teaches at stake, youth and family history conferences, multi-stake family history fairs and even at individual family home evenings. He also uses the internet to teach to locations as far away as Hawaii, Arizona, California and Missouri.

Since February 2014 he has trained over 23,000 people in classroom settings working on their family history. Many people have enthusiastically acknowledged, "how fast and accurate they have become as they follow the things he teaches".

Although the meeting does not begin until 7:00, members arrive early to hear the Debra Bonner Unity Gospel Choir (formerly the LDS Genesis Gospel Choir) perform prelude music at 6:40 p.m.

What's happening in your area? Do you have news you'd like to share? Do you have talents you'd like to share? Regardless of where in the world you may be we can all contribute to the missionary efforts of the church. This could be an opportunity for you to use your talents to help us share the gospel message with people the world over. Your own story could well be just what someone half a world away needs to hear.
